Jahrome Hughes sat out the entire second half of the Storm's dominant 42-14 win over the Warriors on Sunday.
The star halfback landed somewhat awkwardly on his shoulder during the opening period but initially played on despite being in pain.
With Melbourne up 36-0 at the break, Craig Bellamy opted to replace Hughes at No. 7 with Tyran Wishart.
The reigning Dally M Medal winner was originally in some doubt for this week's clash with the Dolphins but is now on track to play.

According to News Corp, Hughes had scans on his shoulder on Monday and was cleared of any "structural damage or serious injury."
He was then named at halfback in the Storm's official team list for their Friday night clash.
The Kiwi star is "still sore" but Melbourne are "hopeful" he will be good to go.
His shoulder concern comes after he suffered a broken hand in Round 3, where he spent one week sidelined.

If things change and Hughes is a late scratching, Wishart is next in line to take over halfback duties.
Melbourne have played one game without the Kiwi playmaker this season – a surprise loss to the Dragons in Round 4.
