Manchester City will seek to keep their trophy run going in an FA Cup semifinal against a Nottingham Forest side enjoying a phenomenal season.

In all likelihood, City's four-season reign as Premier League champions will officially end this weekend, with Liverpool a point away from the title.

But you have to go back to 2016/17 for the only time Pep Guardiola has finished a season in Manchester without a trophy and he will be keen to see his side's recent upturn in form continue and secure a third successive cup final berth.

Nottingham Forest stand in City's way, having already beaten the seven-time winners 1-0 at the City Ground last month. Guardiola's side have not lost in seven games since, and a tight, tense affair is anticipated.

Nottingham Forest vs. Man City lineups, confirmed starting 11, team news

Nuno Espirito Santo is without influential right-back Ola Aina due to a calf problem. Neco Williams is absent through suspension, meaning just a third senior appearance for 18-year-old Zach Abbott on a huge stage

Club captain Ryan Yates is also banned due to yellow-card accumulation, with Nicolas Dominguez starting in midfield. Callum Hudson-Odoi replaces Anthony Elanga, who drops to the bench.

Nottingham Forest (4-2-3-1, right to left): Sels (GK) — Abbott, Milenkovic, Murillo, Toffolo — Dominguez, Danilo — Hudson-Odoi, Gibbs-White, Anderson — Wood.

Nottingham Forest subs: Miguel (GK), Morato, Sangare, Awoniyi, Moreno, Jota, Elanga, Sosa, Boly

Suspended: Yates, Williams

Pep Guardiola has no new injury concerns following the dramatic 2-1 Premier League win over Aston Villa, although James McAtee is suspended after collecting his second booking of the competition in the quarterfinal win at Bournemouth.

Ederson sat out City's past two matches with a groin injury and, although the Brazil international is fit again, Stefan Ortega's usual status as City's cup goalkeeper means he remains between the posts.

Jeremy Doku produced a game-breaking contribution from the bench to set up Matheus Nunes's stoppage-time winner but it's fellow wingers Jack Grealish and Savinho who return to the first XI. Nunes could revert to his natural position of midfield after Rico Lewis was selected by Guardiola, although the young England international could just as easily slot in alongside Mateo Kovacic in the engine room.

Rodri and Erling Haaland are stepping up their recoveries but remain sidelined alongside John Stones and Oscar Bobb.

Man City (4-3-3, right to left): Ortega (GK) — Nunes, Dias, Gvardiol, O'Reilly — Lewis, Kovacic, Silva — Savinho, Marmoush, Grealish.

Man City subs: Ederson (GK), Doku, Nico, De Bruyne, Gundogan, Reis, Akanji, Khusanov

Injured: Haaland (ankle), Rodri (ACL), Stones (thigh), Bobb (hamstring)
Suspended: McAtee
