While Newcastle struggled to begin the 2024/25 Premier League season, Alexander Isak has rejuvenated the Magpies through the festive season thanks to a scorching hot goal scoring streak.
The Sweden international has exploded towards the top of the Premier League top scorer list as he's scored a goal in an historic number of consecutive games.
His latest came against Wolves on January 15, marking eight straight games with a goal for the 25-year-old star.

Alexander Isak closing in on Jamie Vardy goal record
Jamie Vardy holds the record for consecutive Premier League games with a goal, having done so amidst the course of the famous Leicester City title-winning season.
He broke a record previously held by Manchester United star Ruud van Nistelrooy, which had been set across the end and beginning of two separate seasons.
Fascinatingly, Vardy and van Nistelrooy are also tied for third place on the list, proving they are two of the streakiest players in Premier League history.
Alexander Isak has joined a select group of players to have scored a game in eight straight Premier League games when he hit his hot streak midway through the 2024/25 season. He became just the fourth player in Premier League history to score in at least eight straight games, spanning back to the league's reorganisation in 1992.

Will Isak break the Premier League consecutive goals record?
Alexander Isak has now scored in eight straight Premier League matches since the start of December, putting him in select company amongst the league's historical list.
After bagging the opener against Wolves in mid-January, he still has to score in each of the next four games to equal Jamie Vardy's all-time record of 12.
The potential record-breaker would come against defending champions Manchester City at the Etihad, while he could possibly break the record at home against Nottingham Forest the following match.
