Women's State of Origin is back for 2025.
Queensland enter this year's series as the reigning champions but got off to a poor start in their home opener.
They'll now be forced to beat a talented New South Wales team searching for their first Origin triumph since 2022 in two straight matches to retain the shield.

How many Women's State of Origin games are being played in 2025?
Queensland and New South Wales will play a three-match series this year.
It follows one from last year's historic battle, which saw the two states face off in a three-game format for the first time.
Before that, a two-match series was introduced in 2023, which was preceded by 14 years of single-game series.
Women's State of Origin 2025 matches, schedule
Queensland had home-ground advantage for the opener in Brisbane, which took place one day out from the NRL's Magic Round.
The series will then move to New South Wales for the last two games, set to be held in Sydney and Newcastle.
