A former UFC star has made a massive prediction for Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall. He has claimed that the interim title challenger is capable of taking the heavyweight throne.
With so many physical attributes, Dan Hardy believes the interim champion can overcome the American’s technical prowess. It is worth noting that Aspinall vs Jones is undoubtedly the biggest fight to make in the UFC.
While Jones initially seemed reluctant, it has started to look like we might actually see the fight happen next year. Speaking about the same in an interview exclusive with Bloody Elbow, the PFL Head of Fighter Operations in Europe had this to say:
“I think right now he’s deserving of a shot and I think he’s got so much momentum behind him he’s fully prepared and capable of shocking the world.”
Hardy further suggested that Jones has fully grown into his heavyweight frame and said:
“A lot of people would expect Jon Jones to be too much for him technically, but I still don’t feel like Jones has fully grown into his heavyweight frame.”
