North Island rivals the Hurricanes and the Chiefs will battle it out in Wellington to qualify for the Super Rugby Pacific Final.
Both recorded comfortable wins in the quarter-finals over Australian opposition, with the Hurricanes defeating the Rebels 47-20 in what was the Australian sides final ever match, whilst the Chiefs overpowered the Reds in a 43-21 victory in Hamilton.
The teams met twice during the regular season, with the Hurricanes winning both fixtures.
