Dyson Daniels has won the NBA Most Improved Player of the Year award for the 2024-25 season.
The Australian enjoyed a breakthrough campaign with the Atlanta Hawks, notably leading the league in steals with three per game.
Daniels, 22, concluded the regular season averaging 14.1 points, 5.9 rebounds and 4.4 assists – all career-best figures.
He also averaged 0.7 blocks and a league-high 5.8 deflections per night, which saw him finish second in voting for the Defensive Player of the Year gong.

With 44 first-place votes and 332 total points, Daniels was the clear winner in the overall voting.
Los Angeles Clippers centre Ivica Zubac earned 23 first-place votes to finish second, while Detroit Pistons guard Cade Cunningham received 15.
Daniels was traded from the New Orleans Pelicans to the Hawks last year and took significant leaps with his new team.
Crucially, his on-court efforts saw him earn a spot in the starting five – something he didn't achieve with his previous team.
The Aussie's defensive abilities also saw him given the nickname of 'Great Barrier Thief'.
Atlanta finished the NBA regular season in ninth before falling to the Miami Heat in the play-in tournament.
