Gold Coast Suns are interested in acquiring gun Geelong utility Sam De Koning at the end of the 2025 campaign.
The 23-year-old is out of contract at season's end and was subject to trade speculation during last year's trade period.
According to AFL's Callum Twomey, the Suns would be interested in making a play for the 204cm big man, who can play in defence and the ruck.
It is understood De Koning is currently likely to stay at the Cats, with contract talks ongoing with the club's hierarchy.

There was a suggestion that De Koning was gettable for AFL clubs after he missed Geelong's finals, even though he had a minor knee issue.
De Koning appears set to play in the ruck this season for the Cats after a successful period playing in the position last season.
Gold Coast have veteran Jarrod Witts as their no.1 ruckman but he will be 33 by the end of the season and have recently secured the future of promising backup Ned Moyle.
Carlton have also previously shown an interest in reuniting Sam with brother Tom at the club, but they face their own battle to retain their De Koning from St Kilda.
