'I felt completely in control': Titans star reveals reason behind collapse image

It's been a brutal run for the Gold Coast Titans, losing four games straight after a promising start to the season.

Their most recent loss could have been their toughest yet, going up 18-6 against the Cowboys in 17 minutes before allowing 44 unanswered points.

But according to one Titans star, the team is close to turning things around.

AJ Brimson has said that the Titans have been 'frustrated' by a four game slide, following their 2-1 start to the season.

Even more frustrating has been the way in which the losses came about, with the Gold Coast side dropping two multiple-try leads in back-to-back weeks.

"Obviously it’s disappointing being up 16-nil against the Raiders and 18-6 against the Cowboys, it’s been frustrating," Brimson said.

"It’s probably not just one thing, it’s different, last week was our errors and this week was probably a bit more effort, so unfortunately it’s not one thing.

"It’s almost worse because we’re going so good against teams - people are saying Canberra are a potential top four side, and I felt completely in control and then it kind of flipped.

"Sometimes it’s worse knowing you should have won those games. To lose the way we did on the weekend is upsetting."

The Titans will seek to avoid a fifth-straight defeat Sunday, but it will be a tall task as they take on the ladder-leading Bulldogs during Magic Round.
