There's not much that Stephen Crichton hasn't achieved throughout his young NRL career, quickly becoming one of the most successful players in the game.
From premierships to Origin success, representing Samoa on the world stage and now becoming the face of a resurgent Bulldogs team, Crichton has packed quite a few accolades into his five-and-a-half seasons of professional footy.
But his latest award involvement might be his most unique yet.
Stephen Crichton acts as inspiration for international sports award
Stephen Crichton has once again played a critical role in a sporting award win, but this time around it was a photo of the star centre that claimed glory.
A photo of Crichton, taken by photographer @jst.kny, was the winner of a 'Best Sports Photograph' competition held by international sports production company AVIS1ON.
"We done it. rugba leeg not only showed up in America but walked away as champions," the photographer wrote on Instagram.
"This little side quest became much bigger than i expected and i want to sincerely thank every single one of you who voted, shared and DM’d me throughout the competition. it was incredible to see the way the NRL community came together and this win was only possible thanks to you.
"I want to thank everyone at AVIS1ON for running the competition as well as all the talented creators who entered. there were many amazing photos and i will shoutout on my story soon some of my favourite photos from other creators that i think could’ve/were deserving of winning on another day.
"Lastly - there was a small cash prize for winning and as promised i will re-invest it straight back into the NRL community. it is a small thank you not only for your support in this competition but throughout the last year to help get my content seen and allow me to make a fulltime career out of video."
The picture depcited a bloody Crichton staring down a St. George Illawarra Dragons player, and was the ultimate victor out of 64 photos going head-to-head in knockout stages.
