Jaxson Dart Star Wars fandom, explained

Dart said that he's been a Star Wars fan for his entire life, to the point where he had a Star Wars themed birthday as a kid.

Dart's love of Star Wars became very well known, to the point where he was being asked about the movies in public interviews. Ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft, ESPN asked Dart several Star Wars related questions, in which he revealed he his favorite movie was either Episode III: Revenge of the Sith or Episode V: Empire Strikes Back, and that his favorite lightsaber purple.

In a different pre-draft interview, Dart also admitted that Princess Leah was his first crush as a kid, and that Han Solo would be the best companion on a trip to Las Vegas.

During his final season of college football, Dart was asked to name which Star Wars character is similar to Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin, and he gave a pretty unsurprising answer.

"I would say the only right character would have to be Yoda," he said on SportsCenter. "His knowledge. I'm constantly learning things from him day in and day out. I think you could go across the college football landscape and talk to any coach and player. They would all say he's one of the best, if not the best, offensive minds."

Of course, that elicited a reaction from Kane on social media.

Jaxson Dart eye black

Dart pays tribute to Star Wars during game with the way he wears his eye black.

Normally, players wear eye black under their eyes, but Dart puts the eye black vertically down his right eye. Besides making it unique, it helps Dart resemble Anakin Sywalker, who notably had a scar on his right eye.

Dart explained in college how he came up with the idea and why he wants to continue it.

"I saw a LSU DB have it one time and I was like, man that looks really cool," Dart said, via On3.com."And then, I’m a big Star Wars guy…Me and my friends kind of change into Anakin Skywalker. He’s got the scar. And so now, I just go out there and kind of just correlate to Anakin Skywalker."

It also helps that Dart has grown his hair out long, which also resembles Hayden Christensen's portrayal of Anakin Skywalker in the prequels.
