The Wallaroos, led by Siokapesi Palu, are set to take on Fiji Women in the Women's Internationals clash as they compete for the inaugural Vuvale Bowl trophy in Suva, Fiji, this Saturday.

The Vuvale Bowl trophy marks a historic moment in women's rugby and symbolises the growing bond between the two Pacific nations, Australia and Fiji.

Coach Jo Yapp confirmed the Wallaroos side for the Test match against Fiji Women's XV. Six potential debutants, including Sevens stars Charlotte Caslick and Tia Hinds, have been named in the 23-player squad.

Emily Chancellor and Bree-Anna Browne have returned to the squad after a knee injury kept the two stars on the sidelines last year.

The Wallaroos last played in October 2024, where they clinched the WXV 2 title, beating Scotland 31-22 and securing qualification for the 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup in England, in August.

On the other hand, Fiji Women last played an international test in September 2024, where they lost 12-10 to the Netherlands. They will hope to use the experience of facing Australia XV in the build up to the World Cup.

While this will be the Wallaroos' first outing on Fijian soil, they have played them thrice on home soil, winning all of them and hold a 3-0 record.
