Cronulla have had a mixed start to the campaign with a close loss to Penrith in Las Vegas followed by wins over North Queensland and South Sydney, before Canterbury delivered them their second loss of the season.
The Sharks have also got a growing injury list with Sione Katoa joined in the casualty ward by Kayal Iro, Sifa Talakai and Braden Hamlin-Uele.
Craig Fitzgibbon's side will look to bounce back from their defeat to the Bulldogs when they take on Canberra to kick off Round 5.

Sharks latest team news for Round 5
Cronulla lost to Canterbury last week and saw two stars go down injured to give Craig Fitzgibbon some selection headaches.
Kayal Iro suffered a hamstring issue and will likely need to be replaced in the centres, while Sifa Talakai will miss at least one game after failing his HIA against the Bulldogs.
Daniel Atkinson could be promoted off the bench to take over from Iro, alternatively Mawene Hiroti could be drafted into the backline.
Tom Hazelton has missed the past three weeks with a back injury but could finally return to the bench to replace Talakai.
Jayden Berrell will be a leading contender to take the utility role on the pine if Atkinson is moved into the starting side.
Braden Hamlin-Uele remains sidelined with a knee injury, so Tuku Hau Tapuha will keep his place in the 17.
