Parramatta has provided a positive injury update on Zac Lomax with their star recruit hoping for an early return from a foot injury.
The Eels star handed his new side their first win of the campaign in Round 5 when he booted the match-winning field goal in golden point against his former club St George Illawarra.
However, celebrations were quickly put on ice after his exploits after it was revealed he had picked up an issue with his foot.

When will Zac Lomax return from foot injury for Parramatta Eels?
"Lomax has been ruled out after he sustained a minor fracture to his foot," the club first revealed in early April.
"He is expected to be unavailable for six weeks."
This saw him miss out on Parra’s disastrous trip up to Darwin where they were battered by Canberra 50-12 at TIO Stadium.
He was also absent for his club’s victory over the Wests Tigers on Easter Monday, which saw the triumphant return from injury of Mitch Moses.
Since the halfback’s return, there has been far more positivity around the club as they head into Magic Round.
Lomax will miss Parra’s curtain-raising meeting with Cronulla on Friday night though and is also expected to be unavailable for their clash against the Dolphins the following week.
However, the 25-year-old could be back for his side’s trip to Newcastle in mid-May, which would be a week earlier than first expected for the backline star.
"Lomax has been running on an anti-gravity treadmill and also managed to start some on-field running this week," the Eels noted. "He is aiming to return in Round 11."
If Lomax manages to get back in time for the match against the Knights, it would give him one game to impress Laurie Daley and the New South Wales selectors before the Blues side for the State of Origin opener is announced.
