After the first six games were holds, Sinner saved a break point and survived four deuces to make what seemed like a pivotal hold.

However, the scales were tipped in Sinner's favour and after holding serve himself, he broke Fritz the following game to nick the set 6-4.
The second set was almost a carbon copy, with both players holding serve until Sinner won the contest on Fritz's serve.
Sinner will now face Daniil Medvedev in his final ATP Finals round robin match with qualification to the semi-finals all-but secured.
