Lakers head coach JJ Redick said that both James and Dalton Knecht will play in Summer League.

James' NBA debut is expected to come on July 6 when the Lakers face the Kings as part of the California Classic Summer League in San Francisco.

LA will play three games in the California Classic before going to the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas.

James could play at least seven games in Summer League, though it's unclear if the Lakers plan to play him in each contest.
