A Real Madrid legend, already one of the most decorated players to ever play football, is set to extend his stay at the Bernabeu amidst plans to stay at the club the rest of his career.
According to Fabrizio Romano on Tuesday, full-back Dani Carvajal is ready to begin talks on a contract extension to keep the 32-year-old at his lifetime club for the foreseeable future.
Carvajal's current deal, signed in the summer of 2021, expires at the end of this current season, but according to Romano's report, there's no fears whatsoever of the Spain international bolting for a European rival.

Romano stated that all parties "are happy together" to the extent that "Carvajal has no plans to play for any other European team in his life."
Carvajal has won six Champions League titles, most of any player in history alongside Los Blancos teammate Luka Modric. Tack on four La Liga championships, two Copa del Rey titles, four Spanish Super Cup wins, five UEFA Super Cups, and five Club World Cups, and he is one of the world's most successful club players. Then throw in a European Championship and a UEFA Nations League title with Spain, and his resume pops off the page.
There is one wrinkle to Romano's report, however, that would leave the door slightly ajar. He made sure to note that Carvajal would never play for another "European" club in his life — meaning he still does consider the idea of changing continents to conclude his career once his Real Madrid playing days are over.
Could Carvajal possibly move to U.S. top flight league MLS or the Saudi Pro League to finish his playing career? It certainly seems possible.
