The 2023 Africa Cup of Nations gets underway from January 13, 2024 in the Ivory Coast with 24 national teams bidding for continental glory.

Defending champions Senegal will be amongst the favourites to retain their title alongside rivals World Cup semifinalists Morocco.

The competition falls within the domestic European calendar, with the Premier League amongst the major domestic competitions impacted by the tournament, ahead of the big kickoff.

When does AFCON 2024 start?

Tournament hosts the Ivory Coast get AFCON 2024 started on January 13 up against Guinea-Bissau in Abidjan.

The group stages end on January 24, with the knockout rounds beginning three days later, and the final is scheduled for February 11.
