Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala has dropped a major hint over his willingness to leave the club as Real Madrid and Manchester City stand on red alert.

The Germany international recently stated his sole focus is on Bayern Munich for the 2024/25 season as the Bavarians aim to win back their Bundesliga title in 2025.

His current contract in Bavaria expires in 2026, with club sporting director Max Eberl admitting a renewal agreement could be difficult, as the club push to convince the 21-year-old.

Musiala is calm over the incoming talks at the Allianz Arena with the key question resting on his confidence of being able to win the UEFA Champions League in Munich.

The last three Champions League crowns have been won by either Real Madrid or City, and that could be crucial, as moves are made in 2025.

Jamal Musiala contract, transfer value

Musiala is currently tied to Bayern Munich until the end of the 2025/26 season so there is no danger of a free transfer in 2025.

However, as part of their long-term planning, the German giants will want to know his intentions, to avoid a scenario of his contract running on into its final 12 months.

As the speculation continues to swirl over his future Real Madrid and City could be quoted a reported fee of £100m ($133m).

Is Jamal Musiala leaving Bayern Munich?

The saga has taken a major twist in recent days, following an interview between Musiala and The Guardian, where he offered an open-ended response to questions on his future.

"I don’t really have a plan or anything. I don’t try to think too far forward about where I want to be because situations can change by the year or the month", he said.

"I’m open to everything but I’m very happy where I am right now."

The next step will be made by Bayern Munich, as they put forward an offer to Musiala, with his suitors prepared to wait.
