Report: What Mohamed Salah wants in his Liverpool contract image

Liverpool’s star forward Mohamed Salah has been unstoppable this season.

His incredible performances have helped lead the Reds to the top of both the Premier League and Champions League tables.

Despite missing a penalty against Real Madrid recently, Salah has carried the team with his goal contributions and leadership.

The Egyptian has been involved in 16 goals in 12 Premier League games and has contributed to five goals in five Champions League matches.

His form has been key in making Arne Slot’s debut season as Liverpool manager a strong one.

However, Salah’s future at Anfield remains uncertain as his contract enters its final year.

Mo Salah’s Liverpool contract demands

Reports suggest Salah is pushing for a three-year deal to extend his stay at Liverpool. If true, this indicates that his priority in negotiations is job security and, potentially, the ability to retire at Anfield.

Former Everton chief Keith Wyness recently told Football Insider that both Salah and Liverpool are keen to finalize the deal but are negotiating the contract’s length.

Salah appears to be applying pressure on the club, urging the owners to meet his terms quickly, with his recent quotes perhaps a part of that.

Fans are also voicing their concerns, urging Liverpool to meet Salah’s demands. With January approaching, Salah will soon be eligible to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with other clubs.

Can Liverpool afford to lose Salah?

Salah’s impact this season has proven he remains one of the world’s best players. Replacing him would not only be expensive but also a huge gamble. His presence is crucial for Liverpool’s hopes of winning major trophies this season.

While one of the hang-ups of a contract extension will no doubt be whether Salah, who turns 33 before the start of next season, can maintain his current form for three more seasons at this stage of his career, many believe the club must act fast to secure Salah’s future given his impact and there being no signs yet of him slowing down.
