Between blooming roses, glint mint juleps, and billowy hats, the Kentucky Derby offers hardcore horse racing enthusiasts and casual observers alike plenty to hold onto.

Eyes will be fixed to the track as star thoroughbreds masquerade as celestial bodies, if only for a fleeting moment. Journalism, Sandman, American Promise, and the Bob Baffert-trained Citizen Bull rank as some of the most intriguing talents to trawl onto the Churchill Downs surface on Saturday afternoon.

But they aren't the only stars set to make waves at the spectacle. The Run for the Roses draws an eclectic bunch of viewers, to say the least, with actors, musicians, athletes, and more filling up the concourses at the famous race.

Simone Biles

Legendary gymnast Simone Biles went with a studded violet-colored dress and hat. Her husband, NFL safety Jonathan Owens, matched the look with a similar-colored suit.

Will Levis

Levis, recently displaced as the Titans' starting quarterback, probably could have done better here. A plain black shirt (not a dress shirt) with a bland jacket? At least the hair looks good.

Jayson Werth

Former MLB outfielder-turned-horse owner Jayson Werth showed out with his outfit on Saturday, wearing a black suit jacket with neon green accents and a neon green tie, plus a matching top hat.

Werth owns Kentucky Derby contender Flying Mohawk, and this marks his second consecutive year with a horse in the race.
