MLB batter props for Thursday, April
Bryan Reynolds total bases : OVER
The 29-year-old right fielder is off to a strong start this season for Pittsburgh, with at least one hit in five of his six games, including going for two-plus bases three times. Reynolds did not have a hit yesterday for the first time all season, but expect him to get back on track today. This is especially true considering the favorable pitching matchup with Josiah Gray on the mound for the Nationals, as he was roughed up in his first start, allowing eight hits and seven earned runs.
Alex Kirilloff total bases : OVER
The Twins left fielder has a hit in every game this season and has only gotten hotter as the season continues. He had four hits yesterday and was only a home run short of the cycle. He has three extra-base hits this season and faces a favorable matchup today. Guardians starter Tanner Bibee had a subpar first start, only throwing four innings, giving up four earned runs and six hits. Expect Kirilloff to continue his hot streak with another big day at the plate.
Brendan Donovan total bases : OVER
The Cardinals left fielder has been swinging the bat well to start the season. He is a career .284 hitter, and boasts a .308 batting average so far this year. Donovan has over two bases in two of his last three and three of his last five. The Marlins are starting Ryan Weathers, who is coming off a poor start in his last outing, giving up three earned runs in only four innings pitched. He also gave up seven hits, making this matchup one Donovan should take advantage of tonight.

MLB pitcher props for Thursday, April 4
Martin Perez 3.5 strikeouts: OVER
Martin Perez had a great first start this season, going four and a third innings against Miami and allowing only one earned run. He only had two strikeouts in the matchup, driving his line down for today's game. Over his career, Perez averages 0.7 strikeouts per inning pitched. In his second start, expect him to go deeper against a Nationals lineup that struck out 13 times yesterday.
Lance Lynn strikeouts : OVER
The veteran starter came into the season ready and had a solid first start against one of baseball's most dangerous lineups in the L.A. Dodgers. Lynn went four innings and gave up four hits, walking just one and striking out five. Expect Lynn to go deeper in his second start of the season against weak Marlins lineup that has struck out nine or more times in four of their last five games.
Seth Lugo earned runs : UNDER
The veteran right-hander has been an underrated starting pitcher during his career. He has a career 3.46 ERA, and he was excellent in his first start for Kansas City this season. Lugo pitched six innings, gave up two hits and allowed no runs while striking out four. The White Sox have only scored over three runs in an entire game once in five tries this season.
MLB player props pick of the day for Thursday, April 4
Bobby Witt Jr. total bases : OVER
The future of the Royals franchise already has 10 hits this season, including four doubles, a triple and two home runs. Facing a weak White Sox pitching staff, Witt should continue to feast.
