There's plenty to be thankful for this Thanksgiving season. While a majority of the league is giving thanks for being in the playoff hunt, others are facing the reality of their situation and instead finding solace in being in the race for the No. 1 pick.
The NFL is heading into the final stretch of the season, as Week 13 marks the first week of games being played in December. Sunday's slate featured plenty of playoff playoff implications, as well as plenty of shuffling toward the top of the draft order.
Two of the teams at the top of the draft board already suffered losses before Sunday's action started. The Giants and Raiders are tied for the worst record in the league after New York lost to Dallas on Thanksgiving and Las Vegas fell to Kansas City on Black Friday. Both organizations sit at 2-10 and in the driver's seats to land the No. 1 pick.
The Jaguars joined them at 2-10 with their loss on Sunday to the Texans, and they leapfrogged all the way into the top spot. Out of the three clubs knotted for the worst record, it is Jacksonville that owns the tiebreaker over the other two based on strength of schedule. The Jaguars currently hold the No. 1 pick in the draft.
In the afternoon slate, the Saints could not hold onto a late lead and lost to the Rams to move to 4-8. The Panthers also had a late lead against the Buccaneers but fell in overtime. The Ravens and Eagles won't be picking in the early part of the draft but they had a great game between Super Bowl contenders, which Philly won.
The 49ers (5-7) dropped Sunday night's game to the Bills, putting San Francisco squarely in the mix for a top-10 pick.
Despite keeping it close with the Broncos, the Browns could not pull out a win Monday night. At 3-9, Cleveland currently has the eighth pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With the Week 13 slate complete, here's a look at where the NFL Draft order stands so far this season.

Rank | Player | Position | College team |
1 | Travis Hunter | CB/WR | Colorado |
2 | Shedeur Sanders | QB | Colorado |
3 | Tetairoa McMillan | WR | Arizona |
4 | Cam Ward | QB | Miami |

There is no shortage of talent expected to headline the 2025 NFL Draft. However, two names come from the same program: Two-way star Travis Hunter and quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Hunter, who plays both wide receiver and cornerback, is currently one of the leaders in the 2024 Heisman Trophy race. Sanders is potentially going to be one of the first quarterbacks taken in the draft, joining Miami's Cam Ward and Alabama's Jalen Milroe as QBs expected to go toward the top of the board.
Defensively, a trio of Big Ten players will likely headline the 2025 draft class: Michigan's duo of DL Mason Graham and CB Will Johnson, plus Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter.
