The draws are set for the 2024 French Open, and the first rounds of action at Roland-Garros begin on Sunday, May 26 with highly-anticipated matches in both the men’s and women’s singles tournaments.
Ahead of the action getting underway from the suburbs of Paris, some of our partner bookmakers have declared their futures odds for both the ATP and WTA tournaments at Roland-Garros, with FanDuel placing Carlos Alcaraz and Iga Swiatek as their pre-tournament favorites.
Alcaraz is seeded third in the men's competition behind world number one — and defending French Open champion — Novak Djokovic, as well as 2024 Australian Open victor Jannik Sinner coming into the tournament. But having beaten Djokovic at Wimbledon last year, Alvarez will be confident he can go all the way at Roland Garros this year.
As the 2024 French Open begins, The Sporting News has you covered with odds across the tournament, as well as our picks for the best bets, fliers and props offered by our associated sportsbooks.
Men’s French Open winner odds
Carlos Alcaraz (+250) and Novak Djokovic (+300) are, unsurprisingly, the favorites on the men’s side of the French Open, but second seed and Australian Open winner Jannik Sinner isn’t far behind at a +460..
Sinner and sixth-favourite Casper Ruud have the most victories (three) and finals reached (four) respectively, so far on this year's ATP Tour.
Here are FanDuel’s Men’s French Open futures odds:
- Carlos Alcaraz +250
- Novak Djokovic +300
- Jannik Sinner +460
- Alexander Zverev +750
- Stefanos Tsitsipas +800
- Casper Ruud +1200
- Rafael Nadal +1800
A double-chance of Djokovic and Alcaraz is at a -105 moneyline line, rather friendly odds for a bet that will come in if either of the two tournament favourites win!
Women’s French Open winner odds
Iga Swiatek is a heavy favorite to claim a third Women’s French Open title in a row, and fourth overall after 2020, 2022 and 2023, and is listed at a -170 moneyline lean by FanDuel. She’s offered at +510 to win the title without dropping a set throughout the tournament.
Here are the Women’s French Open futures odds ahead of the tournament:
- Iga Swiatek -170
- Aryna Sabalenka +500
- Coco (Cori) Gauff +800
- Elena Rybakina +1100
- Danielle Collins +2100
- Jelena Ostapenko +3400
FanDuel is also offering double chance odds, but you’ll have to include someone other than Swiatek in that bet in order to get even odds or better. Swiatek-Sabalenka is -300 in the market, while the first non-Swiatek option is Sabalenka-Gauff at a +260 moneyline lean.

French Open 2024: Best bet
- Pick: Aryna Sabalenka to win Women's French Open 2024 title
- Moneyline lean: +500 (BetMGM)
The French Open may well have been Iga Swiatek's forte for three of the past four tournaments, but so far in 2024, the biggest moments have been dominated by Aryna Sabalenka. She swept aside all competition in the first grand slam of the year, defeating third seed Coco Gauff and Zheng Qinwen respectively in the Melbourne semifinals and decider — both in straight sets, too.
BetMGM are therefore offering a very generous moneyline lean of +500 for the 26-year-old to claim her second grand slam title of the year, with Swiatek on a -150 moneyline after her form in previous tournaments and the WTA tour. However, we think that Sabalenka, having saved her best performances for grand slams recently, can break Swiatek's monopoly at Roland-Garros.
French Open 2024: Prop bet
- Pick: Rafael Nadal to win more games than Alexander Zverev in their 1st round match
- Moneyline lean: +350 (DraftKings)
This one's a long shot, but we couldn't not back the undisputed king of the French Open as he enters what will likely be his last appearance at Roland-Garros as a professional tennis player. 14-time champion Rafael Nadal has been stung by the draw though, and his farewell tour begins with a very difficult match-up against fourth seed Alexander Zverev!
BetMGM have the Spaniard at a +350 moneyline lean to defeat the gigantic world number four in more individual games on the tournament's opening day this weekend - form which would likely see him cause an early upset to kick off the 2024 tournament. Nadal's French Open journey surely won't end in the very first round, right?

French Open 2024: Flier bet
- Pick: Any American player to reach the Women's French Open final
- Moneyline lean: +300 (DraftKings)
Amongst the top 32 seeded players beginning the women's side of the 2024 French Open this weekend, there are four representing the USA, and a whole host more placed elsewhere in the draw. We think that one of these American players — most likely third seed Coco Gauff — has a chance of going all the way to the final at Roland-Garros.
DraftKings are in some sort of agreement too, offering a +300 moneyline lean for a US player to reach the WTA decider. Gauff will face a qualifier or lucky loser in the first round, giving her a chance to begin her campaign with a big victory. Unfortunately for the chances of this flier coming in, 11th seed Danielle Collins faces fellow American Caroline Dolehide, so there's guaranteed to be at least one US player eliminated before the second round!
