Who would be in the 2024-2025 NFL playoffs ahead of Super Bowl 59 based on the current AFC and NFC standings?
With seven-plus weeks left in the regular season, here's an updated look at who would be in, who would be out, and where all the potential postseason teams would be seeded going into Week 11's Sunday games:

NFL standings through Week 11
AFC playoff picture
1. Kansas City Chiefs 9-0 (first place, AFC West): The Chiefs are looking to get closer to nailing down the top seed, lone bye and home-field advantage by staying undefeated and beating the No. 2 Bills on the road.
2. Buffalo Bills 8-2 (first place, AFC East): The Bills would have a real shot of overtaking the Chiefs for No. 1 by the end of the season if they beat the Chiefs at home, which would reduce the lead to a half-game and give the Bills the head-to-head tiebreaker.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers 7-2 (first place, AFC North): The Steelers lead the Ravens by a half-game in the division by playing one fewer game. They need to beat the Ravens at home on Sunday to stay in first place, or they will drop down to a wild-card spot.
4. Houston Texans 6-4 (first place, AFC South) The Texans have a strong two-game lead on the Colts, who they beat twice, and are positioned to cruise to a second straight division title. It's looking less likely, however, for them to finish higher than No. 3.
5. Baltimore Ravens 7-3 (second place, AFC North): The Ravens will look to take over first place in the division by beating the Steelers on the road. If they don't, they would fall back by 1.5 games.
6. Los Angeles Chargers 6-3 (second place, AFC West): The Chargers keep beating the teams they should beat to pad their strong playoff chances in their first season under Jim Harbaugh. That makes Sunday night's home vs. the Bengals critical.
7. Denver Broncos 5-5 (third place, AFC West): The Broncos are holding on loosely to the last playoff spot despite losing back-to-back tough road games at Baltimore and Kansas City. They need to rebound vs. the Falcons at home.
Who's in the hunt?
- 8. Indianapolis Colts 4-6 (second place, AFC South)
- 9. Cincinnati Bengals 4-6 (third place, AFC North)
Of these two teams right behind the Broncos, the Bengals, even with the loss in Week 10, are still better equipped to make a late run because of having the big quarterback edge with Joe Burrow, who can be MVP if he takes his team to the playoffs after an 0-3 start.

- 10. Miami Dolphins 3-6 (second place, AFC East)
- 11. New York Jets 3-7 (third place, AFC East)
- 12. New England Patriots 3-7 (fourth place, AFC East)
- 13. Cleveland Browns 2-7 (fourth place, AFC North)
- 14. Tennessee Titans 2-7 (third place, AFC South)
- 15. Las Vegas Raiders 2-7 (fourth place, AFC West)
- 16. Jacksonville Jaguars 2-8 (fourth place, AFC South)

NFC playoff picture
1. Detroit Lions 8-1 (first place, NFC North): The Lions hold this spot for home-field advantage and the lone bye by a half-game over the Eagles going into the matchup with the Jaguars in Week 11 after the Eagles won on Thursday night.
2. Philadelphia Eagles 8-2 (first place, NFC East): The Eagles increased their division lead over the Commanders to 1.5 games by beating that team at home ahead of the Sunday action.
3. Atlanta Falcons 6-4 (first place, NFC South): The Falcons are 4-1 in division play after losing at New Orleans, still leading the South by two games over the Buccaneers, who they have already swept this season. A loss to the Broncos can drop them to No. 4 but do little else to affect their playoff chance.
4. Arizona Cardinals 6-4 (first place, NFC West): The Cardinals enjoy their bye week with a half-game lead over the 5-4 49ers, a 1.5-game lead over the Rams and Seahawks. They would still be in first place should the 49ers win by virtue of holding the early head-to-head tiebreaker.
5. Minnesota Vikings 7-2 (second place, NFC North): The Vikings have fallen behind the Lions in the division rice, but they kept strengthening their great NFC wild-card position, which they should do again vs. the Titans.
6. Green Bay Packers 6-3 (third place, NFC North): The Packers, after a Week 10 bye, need to get back on track to strengthen their wild-card position by beating the Bears in Chicago.
7. Washington Commanders 7-4 (second place, NFC East): The Commanders fell down a spot after losing their chance to regain first place in Philadelphia and now are longshots to win the division, leaving them to focus more on the wild card.

- 8. San Francisco 49ers 5-4 (second place, NFC West)
- 9. Chicago Bears 4-5 (fourth place, NFC North)
- 10. Los Angeles Rams 4-5 (third place, NFC West)
- 11. Seattle Seahawks 4-5 (fourth place, NFC West)
- 12. Tampa Bay Buccaneers 4-6 (second place, NFC South)
The 49ers have the obvious best shot here as they can move to a half-game behind the Commanders with a win over the Seahawks. They also can get hot to jump up to take the weakened NFC West. The Bears and Rams need to win badly in Week 11.
