You've heard of the Drake curse. Well, Conor McGregor might be coming for his title.

The Irish megastar has a history of placing big bets on sports and, until recently, had seemingly enjoyed a good run of wins.

Now, for the second time in a week, "Mystic Mac" has blown his cash.

Last weekend, McGregor wagered $500,000 on Renan Ferreira to knock Francis Ngannou out in the former UFC heavyweight champion's PFL debut.

Unfortunately for McGregor, Ngannou scored a first-round victory over Ferreira in dominant fashion.

On Saturday (October 26), ahead of UFC 308 in Abu Dhabi, McGregor opted to combine two bets for what would have been a whopping payout.

Posted on his social media, McGregor bet $500,000 on Robert Whittaker to knock Khamzat Chimaev out, as well as Max Holloway to win by knockout against UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria.

McGregor would have won $17.2 million if both betting underdogs won.

As it turned out, Whittaker was submitted in the first round, and Holloway got knocked out in the third.

McGregor would later take down his bet from social media but hit back with a reminder of his gambling victories, claiming to be $7.7 million in front in 2024.
