After playing in just eight games this season, Ja Morant is back on the injured list.

The Grizzlies' two-time All-Star was seen on crutches after hurting his right hip, though it was originally reported as a hamstring injury

Morant had finally returned to the court after a rough last season, in which he served a 25-game league suspension and sustained a shoulder injury that required season-ending surgery.

What is Ja Morant's injury?

The Grizzlies have listed Morant on the injury report due to right hip subluxation and pelvic muscle strains.

The injury took place during Memphis' win over Los Angeles on Nov. 6. Morant was destabilized midair by a Lakers player, causing him to fall into extreme right hip flexion.

After further examination, it was found that Morant suffered a partial posterior hip subluxation along with multiple Grade 1 pelvic muscle strains.
