The New York Jets had a chance to draft the best tight end in the NFL Draft, Tyler Warren.
Instead, they used the No. 7 overall pick in Thursday's first round on a guy who won't ever touch the ball.
Not that that's a bad thing. It's just less exciting for Jets fans.
They landed Armand Membou, a right tackle from Missouri.
At 330 pounds but sub-5.00 seconds in the 40-yard dash, Membou certainly fits the part of a top-10 NFL Draft pick.
The Jets have their quarterback of the present, Justin Fields, but maybe not their QB of the future yet.
Membou will be there, hopefully for the next decade, to protect whoever the Jets put back there.

It's the kind of move a team makes when building a foundation.
But it's not the kind that sells tickets or excitement.
The ESPN broadcast zoomed in on Jets' fans after Roger Goodell announced the choice, and they didn't look sure whether they should celebrate or boo.
In the end, they didn't do much of either. That's what picking a right tackle looks like.
But for a football team trying to gain its mojo back, it could be just right.
Warren is still out there for someone else, but the Jets have their cornerstone on the offensive line now in place.
