Eight players have qualified for the ATP Finals - Jannik Sinner, Alexander Zverev, Carlos Alcaraz, Daniil Medvedev, Taylor Fritz, Casper Ruud, Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev.
ATP Finals qualification scenarios
Note: Novak Djokovic withdrew from the ATP Finals with injury, meaning these scenarios were rendered invalid.
Andrey Rublev to qualify
It's a simple equation for the Russian. At the ATP 250 in Metz, he needs to better the final result of De Minaur at the ATP 250 in Belgrade to make up the 25-point deficit.
If he exits Metz at the same stage as De Minaur in Belgrade, the Australian will be guaranteed progression.
Alex de Minaur to qualify
De Minaur - while playing at ATP 250 Belgrade - just needs to match or better the result of Rublev at ATP 250 Metz.
Casper Ruud to qualify
Ruud, who is playing in Metz, will only see his qualification come under threat if both Rublev and De Minaur make the final of their respective tournaments.
Even in this scenario, Ruud still qualifies if he makes a quarter-final, as long as Rublev doesn't win the event in Metz.
Novak Djokovic to qualify
Djokovic's passage to Turin will be locked in as long as a single scenario is avoided.
To miss out, the legend needs Rublev and De Minaur to win their tournaments and Ruud to make the semis.
However, there is also rumours he might pull out of the ATP Finals through injury after missing the Paris Masters.
