Ahead of the 17th edition of the IPL, the most significant piece of news came from off the pitch as five-time champion Mumbai Indians sealed a mega-money deal to bring all-rounder Hardik Pandya back to the franchise from Gujarat Titans.

Returning to his first-ever team, Pandya was also appointed as captain of the franchise, as the team management decided to move on from Rohit Sharma, in what proved to be a controversial move. The new captain was not received well by a section of MI fans, who felt Rohit had been hard done by.
Are Hardik Pandya and wife Natasa headed for a divorce?
The 2024 IPL season eventually did not go Mumbai's way at all. The five-time champions not only did not manage to qualify for the playoffs, but also finished rock-bottom of the league despite a star-studded squad, with the likes of Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav, Tim David and Tilak Varma apart from Rohit and Hardik.
It appears as though things could get worse for the MI skipper, as rumours have abounded on social media that he could be set for a divorce with Serbian actress Natasa Stankovic.
Speculation first began when it was noticed that Stankovic had removed the 'Pandya' surname from her Instagram bio. In addition, she has not been spotted at Mumbai Indians matches, when she has often shown up in the past.
No reports have been substantiated as yet, but further speculation suggests that Stankovic has filed for divorce. Hardik and Natasa were married in 2020, and currently have a 4-year-old son, Agastya.
Another section of fans seems to have suggested that the couple is still on good terms with each other, after Natasa commented on Hardik's brother Krunal's Instagram post.
