A total of 38 teams classified in five groups will participate in the tournament. The 135-match tournament will see each team play the other team in the same group once in the round-robin format. The group stage will be followed by two playoff matches, four quarter-finals, two semi-finals, and the big final.
The five group winners and the best-performing runners-up across groups, will directly qualify for the quarters. The remaining four runners-up sides will play a one-off playoff match to determine the available QF slots.
