The 17th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is entering the business end, as the playoffs begin on Tuesday, May 21.

The four teams in this year's playoffs; Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Rajsthan Royals and Royal Challengers Benglauru, have all qualified for the final before, with the first three having also lifted the title.

Which team has reached IPL final most times?

Perhaps unsurprisingly, the team that has reached the most finals in IPL history is five-time champion Chennai Super Kings, who have won half of the 10 finals they have qualified for. Another five-time champion is in second place, as Mumbai Indians have made it to six finals.

MI and CSK are now followed by Kolkata Knight Riders who made it to the IPL 2024 final, the fourth time in their history.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru have reached the final on three occasions while SRH have now reached the final twice after beating RR in the Qualfiier 2.
