Who will be the uncapped retentions for each IPL team?
Chennai Super Kings (CSK):
MS Dhoni: With the new retention rules that makes a player who has not played any international cricket for the last five years, i.e., since 2019 makes the player eligible for an uncapped retention. So, the five-time IPL winning captain can now be retained by CSK for just 4 crores so they could build the team for the future with his supervision and help.
Delhi Capitals (DC):
Abhishek Porel: The Delhi Capitals have a great crop of young and uncapped talent that they could retain like Rasikh Dar or even the local boy, Yash Dhull but with the trust that they have shown in Porel, he looks like the most likely name who could get retained for his batting and keeping prowess. He played 14 matches last season and scored 327 runs at a strike rate of 159.51.

Gujarat Titans (GT):
Shahrukh Khan: The 29-year-old has shown glimpses of his batting lower down the order but has somehow failed to do it consistently with a rather young core group of players, he can be backed once again by the Gujarat Titans as one of their low-cost signings.
He has also shown how good he can be with the ball in TNPL as well. Manav Suthar is another option that has done well in recent domestic campaigns.
Rahul Tewati: The southpaw has been a mainstay in the team since their inaugural season in 2022 and is a strong hitter of the ball and core member of their middle-order.
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR):
Harshit Rana: Harshit Rana has been knocking on India's doors for some time and almost made his debut for India in the recent series against Bangladesh if not for his health issues at the last moment.
He is also one of the brightest talents in the country right now and will also be travelling to Australia for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy. Rana took 19 wickets in their last victorious campaign at an average of 20.16 and a strike rate of 13.32. He can also chip in with some runs late in the innings, making him a complete package.
Ramandeep Singh: The all-rounder played an important role in KKR winning the IPL title last time so it was a no-brainer to retain his services for the upcoming edition.
Lucknow Supergiants (LSG):
Ayush Badoni: Badoni got the nod ahead of the rest of the young players as he could go for big money in the auction, given his prowess to bat late in the innings and being a consistent domestic performer always helps.
Mohsin Khan: As Mayank Yadav has already earned an India cap, LSG decided to retain another talented young bowler Mohsin Khan in the uncapped category.
Punjab Kings (PBKS):
Shashank Singh: Singh finally got his real break in IPL as he starred in 14 matches of the last season for PBKS and played some absolutely thunderous innings, scoring 354 runs at an incredible strike rate of 164.65 and an average of 44.25.
Ashutosh Sharma: Did well for them down the order in the limited opportunities last season and has thus been retained.

Rajasthan Royals (RR):
Like CSK, RR have utilised the new uncapped player rule to retain veteran fast bowler Sandeep Sharma who has not appeared for India in the last five years.
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB):
Yash Dayal: One of the easiest picks across teams for the uncapped retentions is Dayal who buried the ghosts of the epic beating he got from Rinku Singh and emerged as one of the brightest spots for RCB last season and took 15 wickets, mostly upfront.
He is also knocking on the Indian team's doors and is included in the squad that will be travelling to Australia for the Border Gavaskar Trophy later this year.
