However, Jaker had received a life earlier in the innings after a comical run-out that saw him walk out of the field in frustration, only to be recalled back from the dressing room, by the umpires.

The incident took place on the 3rd ball of the 15th over (14.3) during the first innings when Bangladesh was 113/4 and Jaker tapped a delivery on the off stump towards the square leg, him and his partner, Shamim Hossain called for a double.

However, after running a single, Shamim signalled for a second run but stopped mid-way after seeing Nicholas Pooran on the ball, and asked Jaker to go back but it was too late.

Pooran threw the ball towards the non-striker's end. Assuming, he had been run out with both batters stood at the striker's end, Jaker walked out of the field.

What followed was unprecedented. After going back to the hut, the TV replay showed that the 26-year-old was in fact the first one to reach the crease while Shamim's bat hung in the air.

Shamim was out and had to walk to the dressing room while Jaker was called back.

He went on to bat throughout in the innings which also saw him hit Alzarri Joseph for three sixes and a four for 25 runs in the final over, helping the Bangla tigers to win the game before being named as the Player of the Match.
