Two-time champions Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will took on Hardik Pandya-led Mumbai Indians (MI) at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday evening.

With Rajasthan Royals (RR) losing their game to Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in a thriller on Thursday evening, KKR had a good chance to catch up with the table-toppers.

They managed to pull off a stunning 24-run victory in defense of 169, registering just their second-ever win at the Wankhede Stadium.

What is KKR’s record against MI at Wankhede?

KKR have faced MI for a total of 33 games, winning just 10 out of it. To make matters worse, MI have had a near perfect record against KKR at the Wankhede, letting the away team win just two out of the eleven games that they have played at this venue.

Defending a total of just 140 runs, KKR bundled MI at 108, winning the game by 32 runs in the process. Sunil Narine proved to be the difference between the two sides with his brilliant bowling, picking up 4 wickets for just 15 runs. The West Indian is still one of KKR’s most important players and will be determined to repeat a similar performance, especially the form he has been in recently.
