Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) are set to take on the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) in match number 36 of the 2024 edition of the IPL. The match is set to be played at Eden Gardens in Kolkata on Sunday, April 21.
The home side have been in good form this season, with four wins from six matches so far. They are currently second in the table, but are coming off a close loss against Rajasthan Royals. KKR were outstanding in their previous home fixture, and will look to build on their good form against RCB.
By contrast, the team from the Garden City has had a terrible campaign. With just one win in seven matches, they appear to be spiralling out of control and their season could be over already. RCB also concede an IPL-record 287 against SRH on Monday, and need to pick themselves up.
When these sides met earlier this season in Bengaluru, KKR chased down 183 in 16.5 overs, with solid contributions from their top four of Phil Salt (30), Sunil Narine (47), Venkatesh Iyer (50) and Shreyas Iyer (39*).

Top fantasy picks and tips for KKR vs RCB
Batter: Virat Kohli
In what has been a torrid season for RCB, their talisman Virat Kohli has managed to perform despite the chaos around him. While there have been concerns over his approach in T20 cricket, his tally of 361 runs in 7 innings so far makes him a must-have in any fantasy team.
Bowler: Harshit Rana
While he is not a consistent fixture of KKR's XI, youngster Harshit Rana has displayed some impressive skills so far in this IPL. He held his nerve in the final over against SRH in the opening match, and impressed against RCB in Bengaluru. With the ability to crack it up as well as bowl some devilish cutters, Rana could run through RCB on his day.

All-rounder: Sunil Narine
KKR's plan to use Sunil Narine as a pinch-hitter at the top of the innings has paid off in ways even they would not have foreseen. With 276 runs in six innings at a strike rate of 187, including a century he has been outstanding. Narine's numbers with the ball have also been excellent, taking seven wickets so far with an economy rate under 7.00.
Wicketkeeper: Phil Salt
Phil Salt joined KKR as a replacement for fellow Englishman Jason Roy, but has now become irreplaceable. His partnership with Narine at the top is extremely destructive, and in KKR's last home game smashed an unbeaten 89 to get them over the line against LSG with more than 4 overs to spare.
