Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) star Venkatesh Iyer who was retained by the franchise at the IPL 2025 mega auction for a whopping 23 crores, revealed his relationship with Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan.

Shah Rukh, who is one of the co-owners at KKR is known to have a good relationship with the players in the team and makes appearances during the team's matches in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
During an interview with the Indian Express, Iyer who hails from Madhya Pradesh revealed that he is very happy to flaunt his relationship with the actor, to his friends and to the world.

Iyer who scored 370 runs at an average over 45, with a strike-rate close to 160, was one of the star players, who were instrumental in the Kolkata-based franchise's title victory in IPL 2024.
During a recent interview with the Indian Express, the MP cricketer revealed that he is happy to flex that he knows the famous actor in-person, calling him a 'larger-than-life' figure.
However, Iyer also said that Shah Rukh Khan is a simple and loving person from his interactions with the KKR co-owner
"I can show off in front of the world that I know Shah Rukh sir. This is actually a matter of flex. When I was there with him, that moment is supposed to be larger than life, the moment is supposed to be grand. But then, the moment was so simple and so aesthetic that there was no feeling that this is the Shah Rukh Khan that everyone loves and admires. There’s so much love and positivity he gives you that you end up loving that human."

Moreover, he shared unforgettable moment after the IPL 2024 final celebrations, when the actor praised the cricketer in front of his mother.
