End of innings: PBKS - 194/6
Punjab clinch their sixth victory of the season as they move past Mumbai and Gujarat to occupy the second the spot in the table with 13 points.
A bit of anti-climax towards the end as Shreyas Iyer departed after a brilliant 72. PBKS needed 2 off the last 6 balls when Suryansh Shedge who had a rough day with the ball, fell to Khaleel Ahmed. Marco Jansen tried to hit it big but the ball took a huge inside edge and went past the diving MS Dhoni for a four.
End of 15 overs: PBKS - 139/3
The game goes in its final stages, as Punjab need 52 runs in the last five overs to register their sixth win of the season. Singh played well for his 54 off 36 before falling prey to Noor Ahmad. Nehal Wadhera started well but departed for just 5 as he found Jadeja positioned at point.
CSK need to pick up quick wickets to salvage something from the match.
End of 10 overs: PBKS - 88/1
Prabhsimran Singh (40) and Shreyas Iyer (23) haven't let the CSK bowlers bite back after losing Priyansh Arya early on in the powerplay.
Chennai need wickets if they want to put the pressure back on the PBKS batters.
End of powerplay: PBKS - 51/1
PBKS have enough runs on the board in the powerplay, thanks to fiery starts provided by the two openers, Priyansh Arya and Prabhsimran Singh.
Arya got off to a good start but fell prey to Khaleel Ahmed. Prabhsimran and skipper Shreyas Iyer will try to keep the runs flowing.
CSK will look to squeeze a couple of more wickets to come back into the game.
10:05 pm: WICKET! Priyansh Arya was looking dangerous but has to depart for 20 as Dhoni takes a sharp catch. Khaleel's 9th wicket in the powerplay this season. PBKS 44/1 in 4.4 overs
9:52 pm: The chase is underway! Priyansh Arya takes strike. Khaleel Ahmed to start the proceedings for CSK.
End of innings: CSK 190
CSK looked set for a big finish after Sam Curran and Dewald Brevis gave the innings strong momentum in the middle overs. Curran was in sublime touch - punishing every bad ball and even smashing 26 runs in the 16th over to push the score past 160.
He went on to score a brilliant 88 - the highest for CSK this season. But things turned dramatically in the final few overs.
After Curran’s dismissal in the 18th over - Yuzvendra Chahal ran through the lower order with a stunning hat-trick - dismissing Dhoni, Hooda and Kamboj in the same over.
The collapse continued and CSK were bowled out for 190 in the 20th over. What looked like a 210+ total fizzled out quickly but 190 is still a strong score on this pitch.
End of 12 overs: CSK 108/3
CSK found some momentum with a partnership between Sam Curran and Dewald Brevis. After a slow start, Curran hit a couple of boundaries - including a six straight down the ground off Harpreet Brar.
Brevis also found his groove - hitting a stunning six over midwicket off Yuzvendra Chahal and keeping the scoreboard ticking.
End of powerplay: CSK 48/3
PBKS made a strong start with the ball as both Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen kept things tight early on. The pressure paid off when Rasheed got out trying to attack Arshdeep and Jansen dismissed Mhatre soon after.
CSK were in early trouble with both openers back in the hut. Brar then dismissed Jadeja with an edge and was caught behind on review.
7:01 pm: PBKS win the toss and opt to field first.
6:35 pm: The toss is scheduled at 7:00 pm IST.
