All the franchises will have a new set of 20-25 player roster in IPL 2025 as the mega auction approaches after the retentions being officially announced by all the teams on the evening of October 31.

As some teams retained their core and some cleaned their clean slate, here's the list of teams and their remaining purse after making their retentions official. Notably, all the teams who had a maximum purse of 100 crores last year will now have 120 crores to spend on retentions and new buys, i.e., purse hike of 20 percent.

How is the purse amount determined for each team?

The purse amount for every team is determined by the amounts spent by a franchise on retaining the services of the announced players subtracted from the original purse, i.e., 120 crores this season after a 20% increase from last season.
