On Tuesday, April 30, the BCCI announced the 15 names for the Indian team that will contest in the upcoming ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2024 in the Americas. 

However, just one day later, fans on social media have started to express major concerns regarding the form of Indian players — especially batsmen — who had miserable individual outings following the squad announcement.

On Tuesday, Mumbai Indians' Indian contingent of Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya, all of them had quiet evenings with the bat, scoring 4, 10, and 0, respectively. 

That pattern continued on Wednesday, May 1, as Shivam Dube (0 off 1) and Ravindra Jadeja (2 off 4) also departed cheaply during Chennai Super Kings' clash against Punjab Kings in Chennai.
