The five-time Indian Premier League winner captain, MS Dhoni, is all set to take charge of the Chennai Super Kings once again, as he will be replacing Ruturaj Gaikwad as the leader, who was earlier ruled out of the IPL 2025 season with an elbow injury.
The last time Dhoni captained the franchise was during the final of the 2023 final against the Gujarat Titans, where he won his fifth title with the team.

One of the key members of his side, after the franchise returned in 2018, was Ambati Rayudu, who is also in the news for his constant expression of admiration towards Dhoni.

Speaking to ESPNcricinfo after CSK's announcement, Rayudu hoped of a miracle from Dhoni to turn the tides for CSK as they linger at number 9 with 1 win in 5 matches.
"First of all, very sad that Ruturaj Gaikwad has been ruled out of the IPL, but all the fans definitely will be excited to see MS Dhoni lead CSK once again. He can always pull out his magic and make CSK qualify from here," he said.
"It will be one great story. I am very, very excited, and I just hope that he weaves his magic all over the CSK team," he concluded.
