PBKS vs CSK, IPL 2025: Live scorecard, match updates

End of innings: PBKS won by 18 runs

CSK failed in the final overs, unable to chase 220 despite late show from Dhoni, who hit 27 off 12. Dube's dismissal and Conway's late retired-out stalled momentum, while PBKS held their nerve with clever death bowling. CSK finished at 201/5, falling 18 runs short in a chase that never fully took off.

11 pm: Conway is heading back -- he's been retired out. Jadeja walks in to bat. This isn’t the first time we have seen a tactical retirement this season.

But have CSK left it a bit too late? Given Conway’s struggles with timing -- they might have made the call sooner. Still, he gets a warm standing ovation from the CSK dugout.

End of 12 overs: Chennai Super Kings 110-2

CSK lose crucial momentum as they slipped from a strong start to a more cautious approach. Glenn Maxwell struck first -- dismissing Ravindra.

Lockie Ferguson then dismissed Gaikwad shortly after to peg CSK back. Shivam Dube walked in as the impact player and Devon Conway continued to struggle for timing -- surviving two dropped chances in the 12th over alone.

End of the powerplay: Chennai Super Kings 59-0

CSK got off to a strong and steady start in the powerplay, reaching 59/0 after 6 overs. Rachin Ravindra and Devon Conway are looking composed and confident.

The duo rotated strike well, punished anything loose and kept the scoreboard ticking throughout. It’s been a positive start for CSK with both openers settling in nicely and no wickets lost.

End of the first innings: Punjab Kings 219-6

Punjab Kings posted a massive 219/6 after being reduced to 83/5. Priyansh Arya was the star, smashing a sensational 103 off 42 balls, including a rapid century in 39 balls. Even after his departure, Shashank Singh (52 off 36 balls) and Marco Jansen (34 off 19 balls) powered PBKS to a huge total.

CSK’s fielding continued to be sloppy, with missed chances throughout. CSK now faces a daunting chase. This will be a record chase for CSK, who have struggled in their recent run chases.

End of 12 overs: Punjab Kings 128-5

What a rollercoaster of a passage of play! Punjab Kings have reached 128/5 after 12 overs. Priyansh Arya has continued his onslaught, reaching a stunning 80 runs off just 35 balls – what a performance!

The drama unfolded when PBKS lost both Nehal Wadhera and Glenn Maxwell in the same over to Ravichandran Ashwin.

However, Arya showed no signs of slowing down, keeping the scoreboard ticking with his powerful hitting.Shashank Singh has been a solid support for Arya, contributing a useful 22 off 14 balls.

End of the powerplay: Punjab Kings 75-3

What an exciting first six overs we witnessed! The match started with a bang as Priyansh Arya struck a six off the very first ball. Then, Prabhsimran was dismissed by Mukesh, who gave CSK their first breakthrough.

But Arya was in superb form, smashing his third six off Mukesh soon after. Khaleel clean bowled PBKS Captain Shreyas Iyer soon after. Then, Stoinis fell to Khaleel.

Then came Nehal Wadhera, who blasted a six off Ashwin, and Arya, who brought up a remarkable fifty off just 19 balls with another six off Ashwin. At the end of the powerplay, Punjab Kings had raced to 75/3 with Arya on 53 (19 balls) and Wadhera on 7 (2 balls).
