Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have begun their IPL 2024 campaign in emphatic fashion. The two-time IPL champions are looking a well-balanced side, playing high-quality cricket so far.
KKR emerged second best in a top-of-the-table clash, as Jos Buttler negated Sunil Narine's effort at the Eden Gardens. The Knight Riders have now lost two of their last three games, and remain second on the points table.

KKR played their third match of IPL 2024 at home, when they hosted Rajasthan Royals in a top-of-the-table clash. Shreyas Iyer & Co. failed to defend a whopping 223-run target. Sunil Narine was the star of the show for KKR, scoring a trailblazing century of 109 runs. He also picked two wickets with the ball, ageing like fine wine.
However, Eden Gardens saw the visitors chase the 224-run target, beating the two-time champions on the last ball of the game. Jos Buttler's unbeaten century (107* off 60) ensured RR equaled their record of the highest chased target in IPL history.
