Let’s look at the injury scare, Bumrah’s recovery, and Morkel’s statement.

What did Morne Morkel say about Jasprit Bumrah’s condition?

After the day's play, bowling coach Morne Morkel addressed the media to clarify the situation. He revealed that Bumrah’s discomfort was due to cramps and not a serious injury.

“Bumrah is completely fine. It was just a case of cramps. Even after the incident, he continued to bowl and picked up crucial wickets for us. Test cricket is tough, and there’s no place to hide,” Morkel said in a video shared by One Cricket.

What happened in the 81st over?

Bumrah showed signs of discomfort during the 81st over of Australia's innings after delivering a 132.6 km/h delivery that Travis Head struck for a boundary.

The pacer immediately went down, clutching his adductor muscle. This prompted the Indian physio to rush to the field, halting the match briefly.

Although the scene looked worrying at first, Bumrah received quick treatment and managed to complete the over. He even continued bowling in subsequent overs. By the 85th over, he clean-bowled Australian captain Pat Cummins with a stunning delivery.

On Sunday on the third day of the second Test, Bumrah bowler just one over where his pace was significantly low. His speed was recorded 121.2, 125.2, 126.6, 125.4, 126.7, 131.3 (KMPH).

There has been no clarification issued on the team's behalf on the pacer's exact condition. India will hope that their ace speedster will regain full fitness before the start of the third Test in Brisbane on December 14.
