On Tuesday, May 21, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) will face off in Qualifier 1 of IPL 2024 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
KKR qualified for the playoffs having topped the league stages as they finished on 20 points. This is the first time in 17 years that the Kolkata-based side topped the table.

SRH finished runners-up behind KKR as they registered 17 points in 14 matches. They had the same points as RR, however, they qualified for Qualifier 1 on superior Net Run Rate.

KKR dismantled SRH in Ahmedabad, chasing down the 160-run target in under 14 overs. The two-time IPL champions have finally booked their berth for Chennai, to play the IPL 2024 final. In what has been a stupendous season, KKR qualify as the first team. The Iyer-duo - Shreyas Iyer and Venkatesh Iyer - scored 51* and 58* respectively, to guide KKR above the line.
SRH however, have another shot at the IPL 2024 final. The Orange Army will face the winner of Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Rajasthan Royals in Qualifier 2.
