The competition will follow a round-robin format and is scheduled to take place from December 11 to December 19, 2024, at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium in Kandy. The league was founded by Shaji Ul Mulk, who also chairs the Abu Dhabi T10 League.

What is the format of the Lanka T10 Super League 2024?
The tournament will follow a round-robin format in the league stage. After the league stage, the top four teams will qualify for the playoffs of the tournament. The format for the playoffs is similar to that used in the Indian Premier League.
The first and second-placed teams in group stage, will play in the 'Qualifier 1' - the winner of which, will qualify for the final. The third and fourth-placed teams will play in the 'Eliminator.'
The loser of the Qualifier 1 and the winner of the Eliminator will contest in the 'Qualifier 2'. The winner of the Qualifier 2 will clash horns with the winner of the Qualifier 1, in the Lanka T10 Super League 2024 final, on December 19.
