Bill Belichick shocked the world when he agreed to become the next head coach at the University of North Carolina. The eight-time Super Bowl champion had never held a position at the collegiate level, but now he’ll be coaching on Saturdays for the first time at 73 years old.
It was an unprecedented move that shook the sports world, but the New England Patriots legend seems to be in the news more for his unusual relationship with 24-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson, which is exactly what his employers at Chapel Hill are worried about.
Aside from the alarming age disparity, questions about the nature of their relationship emerged following Belichick’s appearance on “CBS Mornings.”
The purpose of the interview was to promote Belichick’s new book, "The Art of Winning,” but it was overshadowed by Hudson’s strange behavior.
Hudson hijacked the interview, interjecting when Belichick was asked about the origin of their relationship and even causing a 30-minute delay by storming out of the room, per TMZ Sports.
Not only did it leave the general public questioning what kind of influence Hudson has over the legendary coach, but it also raised some major red flags at UNC.

“The whole ordeal also isn't sitting well with Bill's employers,” according to a report from TMZ Sports. “We're told folks at UNC are now concerned about Hudson's influence on Belichick's tenure as the head football coach in Chapel Hill... especially with her, essentially, taking on a role as his manager.”
The Tar Heels already have to deal with the national spotlight that comes with hiring someone like Belichick, but having to also worry about his young girlfriend getting involved with football decisions could spell disaster.
After being involved with his fair share of controversies while running a dynasty in New England, Belichick finds himself under the microscope once again.
