Two AFC teams in playoff position faced off Monday night, each seeking an eighth win and a potential top-four seed.
Lamar Jackson's Ravens (8-4) headed West to face Justin Herbert's Chargers (7-4), and for the third time in his NFL coaching career, John Harbaugh came out on top over his younger brother Jim in a head-to-head matchup, 30-23.
Their last contest came in Super Bowl XLVII when Joe Flacco led Baltimore to a 34-31 win in New Orleans. With two-time NFL MVP Lamar Jackson at the helm now, Baltimore continues to be a formidable force in the North.

The Ravens proved just that in Inglewood, Calif., coming back from a 10-0 deficit thanks to some joystick magic from their immensely mobile slinger. Jackson threw for 177 yards and two touchdowns with a 126.5 rating to go along with Derrick Henry's 140 yards on 24 carries. Jackson added 15 yards and a TD on the ground, while Justice Hill iced the game with a 51-yard TD scamper in the fourth quarter.
Chargers QB Justin Herbert didn't have a bad night, but Baltimore just outplayed Los Angeles on offense and defense. The quarterback still managed 218 passing yards on 21-for-36 throwing, but late in the first half, his offense lost running back JK Dobbins, who has been plagued with lower body issues his entire career, to a knee injury.
Now just inches behind Pittsburgh in the AFC North standings, Jackson & Co. are in prime position for a top wild-card seed or top-three slot. The Chargers, on the other hand, needed a win to remain safely in contention in the AFC West with the defending Super Bowl champion Chiefs, who are sitting pretty at 10-1 in first. The Chargers are still in the AFC's No. 6 slot, just a half-game ahead of the Broncos.
