Chelsea midfielder Moises Caicedo is determined to clinch the UEFA Conference League title this season.

The Blues take on Swedish side Djurgarden in the first leg of their semifinal on May 1, and the Ecuadorian is dreaming of his first trophy with the club in the coming weeks.

Enzo Maresca's team head to the 3Arena to face the tournament's surprise package, hoping to put one foot in May's final, which takes place in Wroclaw.

Chelsea breezed through the league phase, scoring a tournament-high of 26 goals in the first stage of the competition, and Maresca has continued that dominance in the knockout rounds.

The Blues beat FC Copenhagen 3-1 on aggregate in the Round of 16, before battling past Legia Warsaw in the quarterfinals, and their 1-0 defeat in the second leg is their sole loss in the competition so far.

Both of their previous victories in the knockout rounds have seen Chelsea win away in the first leg, which Caicedo believes is key to reaching the final.

History beckons for Caicedo and Chelsea

Chelsea have the chance to make history in continental action this season as the winners of every European club trophy available.

They have already won the Champions League and the Europa League in previous years, and getting their hands on the Conference League crown will give them a unique treble - and that is Caicedo's target.

"Winning the Conference League would mean a lot to me," he said in Chelsea pre-match press conference.

"It's a European title, and every player dreams of winning European titles. Everyone at Chelsea is convinced we can win it, if we work hard enough, and we know it will be very tough, right?

"There are still a couple of steps left to win it, but we'll give it our all to win that trophy.

"I'm champing at the bit for the game to get going because it would be my first international title. So, what I want the most is to win it, and dedicate it to God and my family."

If Chelsea do go on and win the Conference League that will secure an automatic place in the Europa League for 2025/26 - but Maresca is chasing a top five Premier League finish - which would seal a Champions League return.
