Meet Kyle McCord, Eagles QB draft pick who put up crazy Syracuse stats after Ohio State transfer image

Kyle McCord was one of the best statistical quarterbacks in the country in 2024.

He parlayed that into a spot in the NFL on the Eagles, who selected him with the No. 181 overall pick.

He'll try to take that right arm into a backup role and eventually become a starting quarterback in the professional ranks.

Kyle McCord is a quarterback who split his college career between Ohio State and Syracuse.

He's originally from Mount Laurel, New Jersey, and measures 6-foot-3, 218 pounds.

McCord played high school football with Marvin Harrison Jr. in Philadelphia.

Kyle McCord college transfer from Ohio State to Syracuse

McCord was originally a four-star recruit when he chose Ohio State. He spent three seasons with the Buckeyes.

McCord started the entirety of the 2023 season for the Buckeyes, then chose Syracuse in the transfer portal.

Ohio State replaced McCord with Will Howard and won the national title.

McCord had an incredible 2024 with the Orange.

He completed 66 percent of his passes for 4,779 yards and 34 touchdowns.

McCord did throw 12 interceptions, but overall, he was a star in the ACC to close out his college career.
